Open in new tab The Patch Test is used to ensure you or your customer does not have any negative reactions to the adhesive or tape you wish to use. The test is quite simple. Place a small amount of adhesive/tape on an area of sensitive skin (inner arm, behind the ear, or the scalp if possible.) put a band-aid over the adhesive/tape, and leave applied for 24 hours. After 24 hours check for any reactions from the tape/adhesive. If any signs of redness or irritation are present then discontinue use of the product immediately. Another thing to check is to make sure that the bond didn't release from the skin. This is rare, but some products will not bond to certain people.
